Mariana Muresanu
Mariana Muresanu graduated as holder of the "George Enescu" scholarship from the class of George Manoliu at the "C. Porumbescu" Conservatory in Bucharest with the highest distinction, completing her violin-studies with Salvatore Accordo as well as her chamber music-studies with Pierre Boulez. She was consecutively principal of the Chamber Orchestra of the Romanian Broadcasting Company in Bucharest, the Orchestra Alessandro Scarlatti di Napoli, the Orchestra Regionale del Lazio, the Orchestra Sinfonica dell'Aqila and the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. She often acts in concert with Sergio Fiorentino and Carlo Bruno (bothe piano) as well as Alirio Diaz (guitar). As a soloist Mariana Muresanu performed under famus conductors like Emanuel Elenescu, Karl Martin, Emil Chakarov, Enrique Garcia Asencio with concerts by Bach, Mozart, Spohr, Lalo, Bruch, Mendelsohn and Brahms. She is member of one of Europe's most prestigious chamber music formations, the Ensemble Amati, and regular guest of the "Amati in Concert"-Festival in Maastricht (Netherlands), where she plays the "Hammerle"-violin by Nicolò Amati dated 1658 and belonging to the collection of the Palazzo Comunale di Cremona. Normally, Mariana plays a Goffredo Cappa-violin dated 1700.
